September 15, 2004 at 7:42 pm #3349Well went out last night to the same field that I shot 7 in over the weekend. Took one of my buddies. Had a loner come in and being the nice guy that I am, I let him take it. Hit a new field this morning, 2 of us, 10 geese less than an hour. I had my 5 in 7 shots and I just put the gun down and called. My buddy struggled to get his 5, but we got em. Sweet way to end the early wis. season. I’ll attach a pic, edited out the and lic. plate. This was like the stuff you watch on video’s —awesome

buckmasterPosts: 776September 16, 2004 at 4:37 pm #3389Looks like you and your buddy had a productive day huh Duckilr??
Hunted last night for a couple hours and never spotted a goose. Just don’t understand where they disappear to sometimes, but I guess that is why they call it hunting. Did manage to get 9 doves though. Still not enough for a meal, but just enough for a snack.

Even though you can only shoot 1 goose this time of the year that didn’t stop me. Wasn’t in my blind but 10 min. when a flock of 75+ came into the decoys and basically landed on me. Put it this way..when a guy takes a 4 foot shot you know they are close. Just wish it was the early season where I could of blasted 5. I then picked up and walked some field edges where I managed to kill 11 doves for the pan. Went thru a few more shells chasing doves then I wanted, but it is a challange. Man….I love this time of the year.
