I see Cabelas has a new duck decoy out. They look nice! I read the add, but can not tell if they are weighted keel or not. Does anyone know??? For $84.99 I would think they are.

mkanderlePosts: 60September 21, 2004 at 5:35 pm #3466Once in the Spring and Fall Cabela’s has a “Cabela’s Visa Card-holder’s weekend” If you have the Cab Visa you get $40 just for showing up and $40 for each friend/family member you bring that applies for a card. It’s a pretty decent deal, I brought my brothers last spring – they cut up the cards I think – and I got $120 to spend on gear.
It’s amazing how quickly you can spend that money when it’s not coming out of your pay-checkmkanderlePosts: 60September 21, 2004 at 5:35 pm #321957Once in the Spring and Fall Cabela’s has a “Cabela’s Visa Card-holder’s weekend” If you have the Cab Visa you get $40 just for showing up and $40 for each friend/family member you bring that applies for a card. September 21, 2004 at 6:17 pm #3470The visa weekend is exaclty how he explained and I got my card in the mail about a week ago or so. The cabela’s in pdc is having there’s Oct. 1-7 according to my card. Just in time for a little extra spending money before the opener on the 2nd.

September 21, 2004 at 9:12 pm #3473Doesn’t really matter if you have the card or not, as long as you have your cabela’s visa with you, they give you the 40$. As for the decoys, I’ve study them closely, I think they are very similar to the greenhead gear (hot buy) decoys, only difference is that they drakes heads turn. 85$ could be a dozen G&H. Only thing I can say is that if you have any problem with the Cabela’s brand, they’ll back their product and give you 100% satisfaction one way or the other.

buckmasterPosts: 776September 22, 2004 at 4:20 pm #3484The wife and I got ours in the mail a couple weeks ago I would say. Mine was dated the 1-7 (I think) and hers was dated the 4-10. They must be doing a little something different this year I take it. Actually I think it is 2 weekends. I know the stores get jam packed in there on these visa weekends. I see they lowered the money to a $30 gift card this year, but you still get $40 for signing someone up. Hard to pass up a deal like this, just have to drive a little ways, but it is well worth it.
Oh, you will have to check the closest Cabela’s store to you and when they have there Visa weekend you will recieve something in the mail usually, but not always. Like Duckilr said, you don’t need to have the card from the mail, just show up and wait in line.

buckmasterPosts: 776September 23, 2004 at 3:57 pm #3515I looked at the $84.99 decoys in the Fall master catalog last night. They are the cabelas RealImage Mallard decoys. Like you stated Duckilr, the heads have 2 different positions and they swivel. For $24.99 you can get the green head gear mallards and they are basically the same thing. Why not get 3 dozen instead of 1??????? Both are nice looking decoys though.
