Water temperatures as of 9/8/14

    Does anyone know what the water temps of area lakes have been recently in the area. Also has there been any indication that turnover has happened. I have a trip planned up to the region this coming Thursday and was wondering what to expect. Thanks for any information!

    Water temperatures were around 65-67 in most lakes in the area a few days ago, we just had a little cold front that we’re pulling out of now, so you can expect the range to be between 63-66 through the middle of next week. We are about 3 weeks or so away from turnover yet.

    With these cold nights we had from this passing cold front water temps were between 61-63.5 today. Walleye were hanging out at the bottom of shoreline breaks in about 22 feet of water. Shiners and fatheads were working best with the current conditions.
