Does anyone know the approximate water temp in southern mn. Like around the Mankato area. Looking to hit the water this weekend for some pre spawn crappies. Thanks!

We went fishing in the boat 5 days ago and tested the water temp with a pool thermometer and here in Iowa it was 43 degrees in the Iowa river. I thought it would be warmer maybe around 45 too 48 so the temp kinda surprised me. Its been cloudy here for around 2 weeks and warming up slowly. The fish usually start to go here around 45 too 50 degrees, at 55 they bite fair, so its going to be a few days yet. Even the lakes here are warming up slowly. Good luck
