I was wanting to purchase a Gnarly Watersports Water Pad. I have emailed them twice but no response. Does anyone know their phone number? Does anyone have a water pad that they love?

My kids and whole family love ours. Gander outdoors had em on sale last year, then signed up for the membership with first purchases getting an additional 15-20%, sweet deal. Just a big foam pad really. Not as soft or fancy as some others you see, but noone seems to care! And under $250.

Kids like it when dad/uncle rips the mat around and first one off is the booger eater lol.

Thank you so much! I have been really researching these. Everyone says it’s the best investment they ever made at the lake.

We bought the big one from Paddle North. It’s inflatable and built like a tank. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but have seen enough of the foam ones tear after 1 or 2 summers of use that we went for the Paddle North one and are very happy with it on year #2.

I’d like to know how they tear so i can stay away from that. Had dogs climb up on mine and has seen it’s fair share of rough play, some superficial scratches here and there buts that’s about it. I can see the nicer pads such with their soft skin ripping up, that’s why I opted for just a big mat of cheap foam, which it is.

Do they dry up and crack or what?

Gander outdoors brand, might have said overtons on it, not sure.

Super light, can roll it up myself and throw into boat from the beach easy enough. Another bonus.

Seriously is like the old school floating rafts u use to have as kids, just portable version, kids swim on it forever. And you don’t have to deal with washing off bird poop and scorching hot green outdoor carpet lol

Definitely don’t want to imply that the foam ones aren’t good, just have seen a couple that didn’t last 2 seasons. I’m sorry I don’t know the brand, but the one my cousin had ended up with a hole in it from adults jumping from the dock onto it and put a foot through it. It was 2 layers of foam for what that’s worth vs. some that are 3 layers. The other was a situation where the grommet that you would tie the rope up to failed. They are a ton of fun, just adding my 2 cents that we went the route of the large inflatable style that is more rigid/firm.

My daughter bought one from Sams Club last summer. She had saved up her money for it so it was a big deal for her. The POS didn’t last an hour before an 11 year old put his foot through it. Put about a 1 foot tear through the foam right in the middle of the mat. We were able to return it and got her money back. I bought the next one. It was an Aqua Lily Pad brand. This one was about double the cost but seem much more durable. https://aqualilypad.com/ Unfortunately, I was keeping it in our shed down by the lake. I had it there for 2 weeks and we had a freaking mouse make it his home. It ate a couple spots on the edge of the mat and one spot in the middle. It chewed half way through about a 6 inch by 6 inch spot. Needless to say, that mouse is no longer with us. I would not buy the water pad from Sams Club. The kids love the Lily Pad.

We have a paradise pad and I haven’t been too impressed with durability. It gets gouged very easy and some small tears on edges. Figure we’ll use it til it’s shot but for the money it should last longer. 2 layers on it. I feel like some seem to have more of a laminated finish coating on them I’d assume they’re better for durability.

any issues with kids getting trapped underneath them? Some models are so huge that I can imagine panic setting in if you somehow get underneath it and lose your sense of direction, there’s no lifting it from underneath with the water suction and any weight on top…this is the reason my parents haven’t purchased one for their grankids yet…was hard to argue with them…

They are large Joe but that’s the first item I go over with anyone who’s swimming with ours. If you go under, there is NO WAY you will be pushing it up, exit to the side if you go under. We rarely have ours over chest deep anyways but yes it should be a warning. But with everything fun there’s always a little risk.

Mine will be on its second season, and we routinely run off the dock onto it, jump off boat onto, adult king of the hill, kid king of the hill, dogs, gladiator wars, smear the qu#@, etc. No punctures yet….
