I had one steal a duck once. Pretty cool

That sounds like a good story.

And Scott, that is pretty cool. I once watched a golden eagle in hot pursuit of a small herd of pronghorn along a fence line while hunting in SE Montana. It was after the young ones. Man are those goldens gigantic.

Only thing that has ever cost me a fish is my lack of skill…

Had this happen in college. We had downed a ringneck duck and it was laying in the decoys. There were more birds coming so we left it for a bit while those bird began to circle the decoys. All of a sudden they flared off and disappeared! We were like WTF, they didnt like something. Then we look up to an Eagle swooping down to grab our downed bird. We were yelling and screaming at it and it took 2 swipes to get it, but he was successful and then landed in a tree 100 yards from us as if to brag about it. LOL

Yup when up in Canada we would take the guts and such and dump them on a rock point on the island and the eagles and gulls would have that down to nothing in a short time.

I suppose that’s possible for those that don’t know what they are doing. The rest of us are fine.
