    I picked this off another message board that the Coast Guard had decertified(?) the Engine Steer for their 17’&18′ boats. Kent confirmed it but nothing more. I’m wondering if anybody else has heard/seen this and can add the reasons? jerr

    So does that mean that instead of a 130hp on the 18′ they will be dropping back to a 90hp ?

    I don’t believe this affected the 2090 though

    Not good news for the Warrior boat company if this is true.

    V-1890 going from 140hp to 90hp

    V-1783 going from 90hp to 75hp

    The question that I have about it is: what’s that gonna do for/to my old 1890bt. Do I have to repower or am I “grandfathered” in. I’m guessing “grandfathered”. jerr

    Ouch well i guess i will be waiting at the fishing hole for you warrior guys.
    Do you think warrior will fix this and recertify them to keep from changing motors?

    They can’t make you repower. However, you should send the coast guard a thank you note. Your boat is worth more today then it was last week.
