31 on poster – counting the Chestnut Lamprey for being attached to a Sturgeon.
Not sure it would up my count, but there’s many more species (rare) in MN than what are on this poster. there’s more probably 2 or 3 more species of redhorse, a couple other suckers, orange spotted sunfish, warmouth, freshwater eel and just a ton of “minnows” though they might not be part of the minnow family, officially. I bet I netted about every minnow (fatheads, shiners, chubs, darters, dace, etc) growing up. My source on the additional species is the coffee table book “The Great Minnesota Fish Book” by Tom Dickson and I HIGHLY recommend it!
