My daughter ( 12 Year old ) will be deer hunting for the 1st time this season. I’m in search of a Used Youth deer rifle ( Don’t want to break the bank till I’m sure she will enjoy deer hunting and will want to stick with it ) I’d prefer one in 7MM-08 followed by the following calibers:
    243
    308
    25-06

If anyone has one they want to sell or knows of anyone who has one to sell fell free to reply to this post or PM me.

    Thanks.

Carefully compare prices on used vs going with one of the many very acceptable entry-level models that are now available from all the major makers. Savage Axis, Ruger American, etc.

All of these rifles are producing big-game-acceptable accuracy at very attractive prices.

Many makers have youth-specific models with adjustable stocks allowing you to customize fit. This is critical for young hunters. It reduces felt recoil, increases accuracy and IMO, with a deer rifle, it’s even more critical because a young hunter will be wearing heavy clothing, with lengthens what for most standard rifles will be a LOP that is already too long for them.

If you can get a deal on a higher-end used rifle, that’s even better, but don’t pay any of the silly prices I’ve seen lately for common-as-dirt rifles on the used racks.

As usual great Info. Grouse. Those are 2 models that I’m considering. Just thought I see if anyone on here may have a youth model around not being used any longer. I knew it was a long shot but thought I’d give it a try.

Also check out the Marlin XS7Y. This is what I bought for my boys. You can find them for $300-$350. Of course that is without a scope.
