Rob Korth from “Swamp Donkey Bait & Tackle”
Topic: River Walleyes & Smallmouth in Door County
Rob Korth has been in law enforcement for the past 13 years and currently serves as lieutenant for the Green Bay Police Department. He has always had a passion for the night shift as it creates more time on the water! Married with 3 young children Rob lives in Pulaski WI, minutes away from one of the best fisheries in the world, the bay of Green Bay.
Because of his career, he has chosen not to fish any Bassmaster Opens or FLW series tournaments. Although fishing and fishing bass in particular is his passion, family means more to him. With his fishing background, Rob & his wife started a small business called Swamp Donkey Bait & Tackle. They specialize in the spring run on the Fox River in Green Bay and are located in DePere by the Dairy Queen on the eastside of the river.
Rob fishes all and any open tournaments around the state, Green Lake north to Lake Noquebay. He fishes the Wolf River walleye tournaments in the spring and bass the remainder of the year. He was on the only team to repeat a championship in the Fort Fremont Walleye Tournament and have won, placed, and finished top ten in many more. Rob credits his father-in-law for helping him pick apart and learn the wolf river system for walleyes, as I was born a bass guy.
Speaking of bass, Rob fishes the First Cast and Angler’s Choice series. He fishes the Green Bay Bassmaster Opens, Bob James Memorial, T.N.T Opens, Shawano Bassmaster Opens, and the Redneck Bass Busters. A true multi-species angler that has been fortunate enough to take top honors, cash several checks, and take numerous top ten finishes, along with big fish honors.
