Dont get me wrong, its good to have choices and I like the schedule… Its just hard to sign up early for an event when you have to choose one… Do I drive to winnie or mille? Is there only going to be 10 FT boats cause everyone went to MTT event or vise-versa?
Ahh who am I kiddin’, im just mad because I gotta skip the millelacs mtt cause FT is having a tourny across the street that day. Theres just not enough weekends in a summer.

As a fellow MTT and FT fisherman I understand everyones frustration. Pool 4 is a busy place for tournaments during the spring and the MTT carrys a pretty big schedule as well. There’s going to be an overlap in tournaments one way or another no matter how you look at it unfortunately.

Your right Justin, it is very hard not to overlap some, and we took all the circuits into account coming up with what the best schedule we could accomodate. Main thing was not to overlap on the same body of water.
yes, just one division with the top 30 making the championship based off total points-200 for first on down; 100 points if no fish are weighed. Team of the Year gets in free.
Other change is all boat numbers will be based on when payment received with anyone signing up for the whole season before end of NW Sportshow getting priority boat numbers for the season, then first come first serve after that. Deposit required to hold your spot is $200 + membership fees($35 individual or $50 family). Please call or email with questions.
    thanks,

    Which were??

I plan on fishing them all this year with my gal. We may not contend, (or we may!! ) but she wants to see what this is all about! She is a great sport, and is up for the challenge…and probably whines less than some of the guys I have fished with!

Nice to see some melting and guys out fishing, which is likely why entries are picking up now that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can hear the boat calling me from the garage. Website has dates, rules,& sign up sheets for this year & email or call Mark or I with other questions. http://www.ftfishing.com or http://www.ftwalleye.com

Tommy Skarlis and Jim Kalkofen will be our first speakers at our Full Throttle Mississippi River Walleye Tournament April 9th. If you have not heard these guys speak before you are in for a real treat.

I know it’s something that we all don’t want to think about here guys, but is there a tenative backup plan in place in the event the water is too high and it closes down all the launches?

Just throwing this out there but I was looking at some dates, and it looks like the weekend after the MTT’s, April 23rd, doesn’t conflict with any other tournaments that I know of. One would think that water should be receding by than.

As of now we are proceeding as scheduled, but will keep an eye on things as the melt proceeds, and are discussing backup plans if necessary, hopefully not.

    Craig,

I would suggest an earlier date would be nice, but I think some of us might have trouble starting our boats if this cold weather hangs around any longer.
