Thinking of fishing the FLW event there in June. Mostly a pool 3&4 of Mississippi guy. Will fish be deep, shallow, cranks, or spinners?? Can I long line power pro to get to them? Or should I get snap weights to get to them? Can I run a 3 way rig?? Lead line? If suspended how deep will they be? Any advise would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

If you catch fish on 3 and 4 consistantly, oahe is about as easy as fishing gets. Every single boat will bring in 5 fish every day. The fish are everywhere. They will be deep, shallow, and suspended. Bigger fish will be caught suspended on cranks, bouncers and spinners will catch the box fish.

End of June could be interesting. At present water temps are still low. I talked to some fisherman at West Whitlock
and they say their going to Polach(sp), Pierre, and West Bend at the moment for walleye. High water levels, cool weather, and rain have kept temp down. The next few weeks could,if warm weather keeps up high 70’s to mid 80’s, could start the season off shortly. I’ll keep my ears open and post later.
