I thought I heard the 7th place team caught that fish on a willow. Almost went through a tank of gas searching for fish today! Congrats to the teams that caught the big girls!

I really didnt have that great of luck tourney day. We got our fish on a jig and a Lindy twister type tail. Also had some short fish pulling a miller rig, dork rigging a crawler and pitching blades. I had my best luck pre-fishing 3-waying F-9 stick baits. I was able to boat a 7 lber and a few other decent fish pulling 3-ways. Unfortunately the 3 way bite was just not there for me yesterday so I had to resort to pitching, jigging and plain flat out scrambling to get a fish to the boat. Didnt fish any 1 area in particular, like others we were all over the place and caught fish in a few spots they just were not the rite fish. I think almost all methods of walleye fishing caught fish yesterday. The river is setting up nicely and the fish are in transition rite now and suspect the bite to be pretty good within the next week and also wont be suprised to see some 25+ lb bags coming in next weekend.
