I believe when I left which was before the official results were in Kent and Dave Andersen had the winning bag that went 16.7??? lbs. When I got up there last night after the Saugerama everyone was prompt to let me know they had NO fish pre-fishing but the bite must have turned on for them because there were some VERY nice fish brought to the scales. Unfortunately not pre-fishing for this tournament was a BIG mistake as our boat zero’ed along with about 1/2 of the 27 boat field.

9.7??? lb’s took the big fish pot which was a brand new Minnkota 101.

Crongratulations to all the winners and a BIG thank you to Mark, Nacole, James, Craig and the rest of the FTF crew for another fun tournament on a great piece of water and a great year, looking forward to next year

Yes I agree the tournament series was great and looking forward to next year! Fishing for the most part was tough, that was the first time I and my partner have ever fished that area of the state, I was surprised at the quality of the fish that were caught, the top three teams turn in 16lb pound bags with a five fish limit and the three teams weights were just a matter of ounces apart, that Le Hommedieu chain has some nice fish, my partner and I turned in five fish for 4th place with 13lbs even, just couldn’t get a 8+ kicker like the other teams got. Great job Kent and Dave Anderson

    Where was it at?

It was on the Alexandria Area Chain of Lakes. We fished Carlos and Le Homme Deu but was open to all the lakes on that chain

This year was the 2nd time that my partner and I have finished 3rd in an event on the Alex. Chain that Dave and his partner have won…both times we have been a half pound short…I don’t know if we will ever find a way to make up the difference, but it’s always easy to accept defeat when you lose to guys like the Andersons….great sticks, who are also great guys.
For any of you guys out there who are interested in fishing tournaments in the future I would strongly recommend that you check out the Full Throttle Series. My partner and I have fished in it the past two years and really enjoy it. The tournaments are well run and it’s fun to be able to fish with your own partner.
