The tournament will be on pool 4 the launch site will be decided at the meeting tonight.
At the meetings we plan activities and learn where the current “hot bite” is. Occasionally, we have guest speakers and the DNR gives us a yearly update on Pool 4 walleyes & sauger. Club members also give talks about various topics related to fishing. We openly share fishing knowledge, make new friends and promote fishing. You will also receive a monthly “Tacklebox” newsletter. There is usually a fishing trip in the works that one of the members is planning. Annual club dues are $25.00 for new members, $35.00 to renew
Club Tournaments
There is no charge for club members to fish the eight club tournaments, although the non-boater pays the boater $20. The top three teams of each tournament receive gift certificates for local fishing retailers, plus we have year end plaques for the best fishermen. Partner pairing is done by random selection and you do not need to own a boat. All tournaments start times are determined at the meetings Usually start at 7:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Each team can weigh-in five walleye/sauger over 15″ at the end of the day. We sometimes have a cookout after tournaments where we swap stories about the big ones that got away. At our tournaments you will learn how to improve your fishing skills, make friends and have fun. Tournament locations are decided at the meeting before each tournament so they will be close to where the fish are biting.
