Good call. It’s Hawaii 5-0 on the east side since last night. Steady 20+ and gusting!

Must be really bad. I remember fishing the 2002 and 2003 LOTW championships in nearly 10+ ft. seas. Back then Mike would only call off for lightning. A lot of broken boat parts and equipment back then. Good for the ol’ back and boat to just call it off when the water is that choppy.

I can imagine how bad it was Pepin was nasty. wouldn’t even want to try the big pond on a day like that.

Sunday, the tourney went as planned. Lake pretty much started to lay down about 10. Not very good numbers, total lbs caught was 196lbs for 100 boats First place was a whopping $9700+ with the carryover from saturday

I remeber those tourneys. (USFA Nationals) The difference there was we launched out of downtown Baudette into the river. If you didn’t want to fish in 8-10 footers, stay off the lake! Both of those events were won in the river btw…

The MTT was on the east side of Milly with 20mph + winds blowing straight in. It was ugly. Easy call but always tuff to do as a TD.

Good Job Mike. Everyone safe and sound for the next tourney.

Just wanted to say that I think Mike H. made the right choice on sat. when we got there I could just see a ton of boats getting washed over the break wall or up on shore , all it takes is 1 boat to get out of control in that wind while they are jocking waiting for the start and half the field is wiped out, we had a fun day on sunday boating only 6 walleyes and all of them being slots finishing in 5th, not bad in a tough bite. thanks to Mike H. for making sure that no one got hurt on saturday and I think he made the right choice.
