The weather goof said it should hit the 40’s this week, possibly extending into the weekend.

Would that help for your tourney next weekend?

If it hits 40 next Saturday, there will defenately be a big turnout! But it is FYB, if it’s 5 degrees like it is this morning there will still be a tourney. Guaranteed!

Last year it was something like 30 degrees outside but when you were on the water and the wind was blowing it did not feel more than 15 degrees. Iced up eye’s on the rods and frozen line It was a bit chilly last year but a good time was had

Last year was 3 at Take off and 3 at weigh in,I froze my butt.35 degrees would put it in the cool your butt range.

I remember when I measured our first fish last year, I touched it to the metal board and the scales immediately froze to the metal. Right then I knew it was nippy out

I still love this photo……Rob and Randy Stevens boat. I think 5 boats started that year, 3 finished….and they caught fish. I believe the windchill was in the -30 to -40 degree range with snow. Coldest I can remember!

Yep, that was a cold one. Nate and I fished that one. Our bite that year was at the Y below the dam. We were pulling 3-ways and had to use the 90 hp motor to do it in that strong wind because the kicker motor wasn’t enough power to pull us forward. We had a blizzard the day before so I had to wait til the next morniong of the tournament to drive up to Everts hoping that the highways were plowed by then. Nates partner backed out [smart man, lol] as the weather was so bad and Nate was going to fish it alone so I went up to fish it with him. All but something like 3 teams backed out of the tournament. It sure was cold but still was FUN. [no I’m not sane, just a walleye fisherman ]
    Thanks, Bill
