I was a member for 7 or so years. It is a good way to make contacts with some of the top sticks in the game. Also it seemed to help when contacting sponsors.
For a tournament angler, I would reccommend it.

I have been a member for the past 3 years and I to find it extremely valuable. The contacts alone make it worth it not to mention the friendships.

Do you go to the annual meeting or how are you making the contacts? I have looked at the NPAA for the last couple of years and haven’t joined yet. I may this year if there seems to be some benefits for me as a tournament fisherman.

I just returned from two days at the NPAA annual meeting in Bloomington, Minnesota and came away very impressed with the organization.

I met a lot of great contacts in a couple of days, not to mention the great seminars put on by Doc Sampson, Johns Butts, and Johnnie Candle. Ron Lindner also gave a good presentation on media as it relates to fishing.

All and all I learned a lot, met some great people and had a fun time. I would urge anybody looking to get started in walleye tournament fishing to join this organization. What I learned in two days was easily worth the yearly membership dues I paid. I will definitely be going to the next meeting when it is in Minnesota.

    Kirt,
It was nice meeting you at the NPAA meeting. Hopefully I will see you on the water sometime this season. Good luck.

    Dan,

Nice meeting you at the NPAA meeting. That is a fantastic organization with a great view on promoting the walleye fishing industry. I too came away from my first meeting very impressed and would suggest to any serious walleye fisherman to check into NPAA. The education from just one day answered so many of my questions it helps shorten the learning curve. Thanks to all who helped put on the event.

    Tim
