I would like to Thank all those Walleye Searchers that worked to put on another great show.
Thank you to John Walters for all your years of work to this event. John you will be missed.
It was great to come in from a day of fishing and go to the scales weigh your fish. Then go and get a hot dog and some drinks. Waiting for all the competitors to weigh in, sharing in the camaraderie. Listening to all the stories and telling jokes. There is a very great bunch of guys and gals that compete in this tournament.
Congratulations to all the competitors.
The weather was great and the competition strong.
This was a two day tournament, 5 fish limit each day.
There was a 26 boat field.
6 teams weighed there 10 fish limit. Only 2 teams from the top five weighed a limit.
The 4th place team only weighed 4 fish for 22lbs.
The 3rd place team had the best day 2 weight of 20.25 lbs for 5 fish.
The top two big fish were a 9.65 and an 8.70.
There were 7 fish over seven pounds weighed.
There were 128 fish caught for a total weight of 327.20 lbs.
There were 72 saugers caught and 56 walleyes.
It was good to see everyone and I had a great time. The bite for our boat was tough.
We only weighed 8 fish. On day one we hunted big fish too long and we just didn’t leave ourselves enough time to find a limit. Day 2 we opted to get a limit of fish and then try for the one big bite, however all we could manage was five fish.
We caught three fish on live bait and the rest on plastics.
Thank-You goes to Dave Koonce and the BfishN baits.
Take care hope to see you on the water. ![](http://www.in-depthangling.com/forum/images/graemlins/wave.gif)
