One thing I noticed about this event is that turnout was DOWN relative to last year (63 this year, 73 last year if my count is right). That’s NOT what the FLW wants to see if the league format is to remain intact.

Complicating factors may have existed for this event, particularly the limitation to fish only MI waters. Maybe some of the locals felt locked out of their favorite Canadian side haunts. Whatever the reason, here’s hoping that turnout increases as the season wears on!

Yeah, but entry fees were raised. Look at the payouts! Not bad for 63 teams!

There were quite a few tour guys fishing that league event. I have a feeling that keeps a some guys from entering. Results look pretty similar to last year and pretty similar to the bite we had prefishing last year.

Should get much better over the next week, but being limited to MI waters only will keep the weights down overall I would guess.

I agree Scott. Reports I’m getting are lots of males, a few females. Weather looks good if nothing else . Good thing I won that heated rain suit a few years back.
