Got mine this weekend. One thing I noticed is that they did increase the Entry Fee to $1,450.00 but instead off the money going to 1st Place, they distributed it through out the top places. I like that idea better then the $100,000 to 1st place.

However, I’m not sure about the idea of fishing Wednesday & Thursday instead of Thursday & Friday. Why did they change this???

Lund is putting bonus money in also.

What do you guys think about the few changes?????

Who else got theirs and are in???????

I don’t mind the increase in entry/payout at all, but I agree with you on the Wednesday Thursday thing. I am not a huge fan of that, all it is doing in my mind, is taking away a day of pre-fishing.

Having pondered fishing this in the past, I guess the day change isn’t that big of a deal. But I have to say all the money to first makes the tournament unique and cool. It is always fun to see a couple locals out do the big names that show up for that tourney. More evidence that Mille Lacs will always be a challenge, and fishing is not just about skill, lady luck can make or break ya!

Another interesting thought to the Locals outdoing the Pros. The week before the PWT will be there. How many PWT Pros do you think will stay another week for a chance of more money (perhaps 2x more) at the Wacker?? Also is there any rules/restrictions for the Wacker about fishing as a co-angler in the PWT??? I’m not going to, just a thought that popped in my head. Many things can change within that week, but I know the FLW has similar rules for hiring guides, etc. x amount of days before their tournies.

No rules against anyone fishing the Wave Wacker to fish the PWT as a co-angler. Not a bad game plan IMO. Thats why I got my PWT registration in early..

BTW, I’m not fishing the WW. I cant run with you rich guys anymore..

I would love to fish it again. However, it is the same time as the FLW Devils Lake. It seems to work out that way every year now

Got mine in the mail Saturday but haven’t opened it yet. Don’t think you will see a bunch of PWT pro’s sticking around, it’s always been an invitational tournament not an open event for all comers. Like I said, haven’t opened it yet and they may have changed it from an invitational but I would dought it very much.

Most of the PWT pros use to fish it. Invites have changed over the years. Any PWT pro can walk into the WW. You will see a full field this year. It’s going to be a good tourney this year..
