Heidgerken, Hackbarth, Dill, Eken, Hamilton, Urdahl, Otremba, Howes, McFarlane and McNamara introduced:
H. F. No. 191, A bill for an act relating to game and fish; allowing the use of two lines and two hooks for angling; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 97C.315.
The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.
This may not be the right forum to post this in for optimal exposure, but I figured tourney anglers may be most interested in this legislation. I believe similar bills have been introduced in the past unsuccessfully. This bill has a limited time window to make it out of its first committee, so I’d urge everyone who supports this bill to contact their state representative as soon as possible. You may wish to contact your senator as well and urge them to author a companion bill in the senate. I would love to see this happen for the open water trolling bite.
