Spring Valley Team Repeats on Illinois Governors Cup Tournament.
Max Actis and Mike Stuckert of Spring Valley came from sixth place on Saturday to win the two day tournament with 18.73 pounds. Despite heavy rains on Friday with rising river conditions along with heavy current Max and Mike stayed with there plan of jigging with minnows downstream of Spring Valley earning them $2,000.00 along with a $100.00 gift certificate from Hennepin Marine as the first Lund Boat in the money. Placing second and Day one Leaders was John Balla from Bartlett, Illinois and Jack Neuman from Naperville with a 2 day limit of 18.47 pounds earning them $1,000.00. Third place honors went to Steve Sandor and Ted Mathews of Ottawa with 16.93 pounds cashing $700.00. Big Fish on day one and the tournament went to Thom Majewski of Spring Valley and Joe Baird with a 3.32 Sauger. Mark Actis Sr. and Mark Actis Jr. received the big fish pot on Sunday with 2.90 pound Sauger.
