Here are the results from the first Saugerama held at Everts resort today, 10/21/2006. Twenty seven teams competed for top honors. It took nearly 24 pounds to finish in the money today. Special thanks to Dean Marshall and Everts Resort for hosting this event. The hot dogs, venison sausage, chips and snacks were a treat at weigh in. Another big thanks to IDA guys Stuart and Chappy for helping out at the docks during weigh in. Could not have gone smoother down there. I appreciate the help. We hope everyone had a good time.

Congrats to Mike and Bruce! Looks like the fish are still biting pretty well with these nice weights and numbers being caught.

Congrats to all that fished…it was a very nice day out on P4!

…I still don’t know why I thought this was a catfish tourney!

Congrats everyone. Looks like some nice weights. And it looks like the sauger bite is heating up pretty good.

I just wanted to say thanks to Jon and Dean and everyone else involved for putting on a great tourney. It was a lot of fun and well organized.
The bite is excellent right now. It seems that every possible method is bringing in fish right now. Hair jigs and three ways with minnows seemed to be the hot ticket for my boat that day.
We were able to put together a pretty good weight for the day and finished in 4th place I believe. We did end up taking the largest sauger prize though, which was a nice bonus. My partner Jeff Partridge ended up catching the 4.98 lb beauty. He is on a hot streak lately, he ended up taking the big fish honors at the Beanie’s Rivet rat tourney as well with a nice 7 lb walleye. The sauger was also released after the weigh in and photo.

Here are a few pics from the awards presentation. We lost the big fish winners due to a camera failure. Congrats again.

A big thanks goes out to Dean and Jon. Dean thanks for putting together a well run tourny, current bite info, and the warm hot dogs and chips after the tourny. (they hit the spot). It was a very informal tourny and very fun. I hope this becomes an annual event. (hint hint) Congrats to all who fished and it was nice to see some familiar faces agian.
