I would like to say good job to everyone who went out and braved the crappy weather. It has to be worst weather I have ever fished in. Congradulations to beercooler for his fine performance.

Did anyone get any pictures of all the damaged boats by chance? I’ve never seen so many broken windshields, trolling motors, kicker motors, etc. in my life. There was at least one G3 and a Ranger that were completely trashed.

I think Brady said it best. When everyone else is coming off Mille Lacs now in “little” four-footers, we’ll be thinking it’s just about time to get on

To the best of my knowledge, there were no G3’s in the field. The only one I am aware of was given away as a prize!
Regardless of boat manufacturer, it is a darn good thing we are not here talking about injured or killed anglers! From what I have heard, this was a very tough event on all equipment and bodies! Those anglers had to bear some terrible conditions to do what they did! My hat is off to all that competed. I have it on good authority that the helocopter camera man has never filmed the kind of video he was able to get during the Championship!

Walleye Central has some pictures on their live leaderboard showing damage, but it was not very extensive in coverage. I do know that the one G3 boat I saw in the tourney had it’s windshield completely torn off on the passenger side. Yee haw ride-em cowboy

With a wave coming every two to four seconds I figured that I experienced roughly 6785 impacts to my body over the fishing I did during this event. No wonder my massage felt so good.

Those waves felt like someone driving a maul into your back. I am finnally starting to feel better now. My boat is in for repair’s too the lower unit and prop rebuild. Hopefully have it back for this weekend to get ready for the FM Walleye’s FAll Classic on Big Commorant. I had a fun year this year meeting new people and learning more techniques. Bay De Noc will allway’s be a good story to tell everyone.

Well it’s Thursday and I’m finlally walking without a limp. My legs have hurt so bad from the pounding of the three days of combat fishing. When my wife sees the TV show she will never let me go again. Thanks to my boaters for all the help I got to the final 15. Tim Long Wi,Jon Odyekirk MI, and Pat Berteleson MN. Thanks guys for the memories. Herb 6th place coangler
