Congrat’s Mr Hanson!
Way to go Don and Lenny!
The number of IDA members with strong showings is just darn impressive. Great job everyone! Let’s hear some stories!
Nice showing this weekend guys and gals I had a bast meeting everyone…IDA made a h#ll of a showing up there and as the words of al shultz would say “we survived cass!!” ….but just remember steve and gator took my fish!!! lol steves infamous 18 incher that runs and fights like a muskie haha jk Steve… but anyways had a great time boys and congrats Don on 8th with little or no pre fishing and gator and steve too on a welll placed 9th with weighing in 3 dandy’s that probably could have eaten our 5 fish for a snack ha anyways guys congrats to all and lets get ready for red wing cause here we come baby
Congats everyone for a job well done. Anyone get zapped from there rods when the storm came through. My partner got it. The rods where just humming and vibrating like crazy. It had me a little nervous at first. We outran the brunt of the storm. When everyone else headed in I was running to the East side of the lake to miss it. We got sprinkled on a little and that was it. I had fun though was glad to finnaly put a limit in the boat on Cass. It is a tough Lake.
John
Oh ya the rods were humming alright! infact just before that big strike hit the lake my partner and i were looking at each other wondering what to do cause we had 6 in the boat and and looking for atleast 1 if not 2 good kickers and didnt wanna leve! but we never ran across the fish we needed at all….cass definetly has a supply of 14 to 16 inch fish wow……but oh baby can she be tough in the daytime!

Our rods were singing for a while there. It was a dangerous situation so I left it up to Steve whether we hit the shoreline for a while or keep fishing. Steve decided we needed another fish so we kept fishing our spot.
Looking back now that was probably not the smartest thing to do. No fish is worth getting zapped by lighting for
We had the opposite problem of most guys we got our two kicker fish first, we put a 22″ and a 20″ in the box by 10AM but could not manage a limit of 14 to 19 inch fish. I can not complain though the 9th place finish moved me up in the standings from 40th place to 20th place. A big thanks to Lenny for sticking to his game plan and putting us on the fish I had a great time. See everyone at Red Wing!

Congrats to on the boater side: 8th place Don Hanson, 9th place Lenny Jamison, and 17th place Brett King. And Congrats to on the Co-Angler side: 3rd place Jamie Ritter, 9th place Steve Plantz, and 11th place to Erik Carlson. Congrats guys.
Thanks, Bill
Chappy, my guess was one fish at a time. One here, one there, one over there….etc.
Chappy we fished the same spots you and gator fished the day you were in his boat, we fished those spots and stuck to them all day.
Great job guys! I wish I could have figured them out! I had to go to Mille Lacs just to catch a walleye, and popped a 28! Just not putting it together!
Paul Kanz from Marine Specialties is also another IDA’er that is on fire! He placed second, and is the top co-angler in points!
Yeah Paul!!!
Chappy, you have to admit there was good banter going on all day. I had a lot of fun. Between you, StickBoy, and a rare ‘eye interrupting our jokes, I was well entertained.
IDA is going to clean up on P4.
Sully
I second that I had a great time out there int he boats and everyonew joking around back and forth and caught fish on top of it to make the day even better but yes I sure hope to see all of us from IDA cleaning up on pool 4 that’d be great to see day 2!!!!
Oh yeah.Had a hell of a time! Especially when we were side by side and Stick was complaining (like he alway’s does!)about me pushing him out to deeper water around another boat and you caught one! That was the last straw!
No whining here! No winning hear either for that matter! Erick, What boat were you in?
I ended up fishing with Al sholtz and placing 15th with him caught fish but nothing big at all….
