Looks like some of the regulars on this sight might of had a slow go of it on Mille Lacs over the weekend. Heard the bug hatch had slowed the bite down a little. It does look like you guys got anough doen to keep you up there in the points standings. . Don Hanson, Stickboy and Gator hunter are all in the top ten with a few others not to far behind that. Is that Walleye Brat in 2nd on the Co angler side with Beer cooler right behind her. Way to go you to.

Good luck to all of you up at Cass.

The bite was still good, lots of 15-17 inch fish. There was alot guys with non releasable fish, it could have been alot more interesting for the top 20.

We caught lots of smaller legals and plenty of overs but just couldn’t get the 18-19 inchers to go. Combine that with one half pound dead fish penalty and that equals 35th place.
Could’ve been worse though, Stickboy got docked 1.5 lbs for dead fish. His fish were plenty alive when he took them out of his live-well but went belly up when he placed them in the bump tank.

I’m not a tourny guy so…As I look at the standings for the ML tourny I see a 5 fish limit. Is it posted wrong or these guys allowed to take a extra fish? Or is 5 fish combined for the 2 fishermen?

I had the opportunity to draw Chad Nissen Hunter88 for my boater, this is Chads first year as a boater last year he was a co-angler. Chad did a great job on putting us on fish we were able to bring in a limit of 5 fish and bump me up from 72nd to 40th place on the co-agler side. Thanks for the day on the water Chad I had a great time, see ya at Cass Lake.

After i complained so much they put ice in the tank to cool the water down . Should have kept my mouth shut maybe I would have moved up a few spots . i would say the water temp differance had to be 10-15 deg.

Nice jump Steve. Especially on a lake so big and one that you never get up there to fish on.
    Thanks, Bill

One of our fish came back to life!

Sorry, that was a tuff deal there for your boat. I’d feel the same way.

    Steve,

It was fun having you in the boat. Thanks for bailing us out with the last fish. I’d still be having nightmares about letting that smaller 16″ fish go at 8:30 had we not managed a limit. We definately won’t do that again

    Chad,
I wish I would have kept my limit of fish when I caught them right away. I threw back 6 fish between 16.5 and 15 inches. I was waiting for the 19 inch fish to bite. We had caught some the day before at the same spot. Lesson learned. Are you going to stay at Broh’s at Cass Lake.

    John,

Are those cabins still available? I was thinking he had sold the resort.

He sold the trailer’s and kept the small cabins. I thought you talked to him about that at Red Wing.

I think I must have misunderstood Brian then. I thought he had shut down the small cabins. I’m looking for a place to stay yet, so I’ll look into it. I think I may head up this weekend to explore the lake a bit. I’ve only fished it the one time I was out with you last year.

I will see what he has to say about the cabins. I am going to wait until the week before the tourney before I head up their. The Campgrounds their do have power and shower’s too. The power is in the reserve section. The landing is really nice also.
