I talked to a few of the guys. They said it is super tough bite. They have to travel a long way by no wake to get to the fish. When you do find the males, most are 13 inches and not legal to keep. There is a big school of fish North of the boundaries but they may not make into “tournament boundaries” in time. If they do today and some guys gamble you could see some better weights.

Sounds like a dominance of one year class. This is what the press release had to say.

    Quote:

Anglers landed thousands of walleyes, but they were from the last two year-classes (6 to 8 inches and 12 to 13 _ inches). On day one, they brought 150 fish to the scales, and on day two, they upped the catch to 238.
