Jon, thanks for the great info, but I I have one more question. How does the release of the walleyes work, can you keep the small ones, let the 3+ pounders go, or do they die during the weigh-in. Thanks for all your help already, never been to a tournament before, this will be my first. Happy Friday

Is there any big fish slots or just the 15 inch minimum? Is a limit 6 fish?

Nates on his way to Winona to work a Sport Show for Smittys Marine there and called to ask me to post a reply saying that he and Richard Young are fishing the tourney together. He then said to tell everyone to sign up so they can win your money as they are undefeated as a team yet this year. [they haven’t fished a tourney yet this year so no losses ]

    Thanks, Bill

My tourney partner and I will be up next weekend to have a little fun with the rest of you guys. Nothing like having a fun tournament to fish in the beginning of March. Can anyone recommend a reasonable place to stay, for 1 night, so we don’t have to leave at 3:00 in the morn to get there in time. Thanks.

Have him check to see if Everts has any cabins rented where they have an open bunk. Cheaper that way. 715-792-2333

Thanks for the quick PM dean… I spent the whole day today trying to figure out why a 5 month old $800 trolling motor won’t run. I have power through the motor side of the plug so it has to be inside somewhere.. not much of a drifter and lifing and dropping the anchor is out of the question so Probably won’t make it… have fun, good luck, and be safe to everyone.

Keep ’em! Early season fish if kept in the livewell live quite well in the cold temps.
Or, you can give the three pounders to me.
