Hello IDA’ers. I would like to fish as a co-angler this year for FLW walleye tour (Red Wing tournament). I have never fished a large tournament like this and I was curious what the thoughts were regarding the likelihood that I will get a spot without registering with a pro (provided I am prompt with my registration on the registration date). Additionally, if it is unlikely, is anyone aware of someone who plans on fishing as a pro that may need a co-angler. I realize that this may be a silly question as I am sure many other people out there would like to have a spot as well, however I am just attempting to get a “lay of the land” so I can adjust my expectations accordingly. I am aware of the FLW walleye league as well and I know there was a recent discussion of that in the forum. Any insights or past experiences you could share will be appreciated. Thanks.

I am still up in the air if I am going to fish the tour this year.. If I do we could sign up together to get the gurranteed entry.. If I don’t fish it, I know some other pros on this site may be looking for a co-angler to sign up with.
Would you be able to pre fish all week before the tourney starts??
You could also call someone at the FLW tournament registration and let him know you are a co angler looking for a pro to sign up with. I know lots of pro are calling in also looking for a co angler..Just be prepared to learn a lot about walleye fishing from some of the best walleye fishermen in the world..

Thanks for the post. I could fish for sure the weekend prior and maybe other weekdays depending on my work situation. I also don’t mind (understatement) taking a few extra vacation days to fish. Anyone can feel free to contact me by pm as well.

Marbles ,There are several pros on here that will be looking for co anglers to sign up with , log on to the site as much as you can in the next few weeks and I’m sure you will find someone. A lot of the guys would like to find a co angler that will fish all four but that isn’t always possible. Good luck at Redwing

Roger that! I sincerely wish I could do all 4 but I hope for this year to at least fish one.

I am also looking to fish Red Wing as a co angler. Should have no problem putting in some time pre fishing as well. When are the registration dates?

    Mike,
I dont know the dates off hand but they do have them listed on their web site for both the Tour and the League.Do you still plan on fishing as a co-angler for the Tour event? Jim and I plan on fishing both the League and the Tour Tournament.I will be down two days before the League Tournament and stay their until the Tour Tournament is over. How many other poeple plan on fishing the Tour Tournament?
