If anyone has an open seat on Wednesday, I would be interested in doing a little pre-fishing.
Sully
Good luck Guys!!!
Hope to see yall at the Weigh-Ins (Hopefully with a limit of 7#ers )
Can anyone enter this tourney or is it a tourney you have to qualify for?
I might be interested in fishing it as a co-angler…if I can.
Blue,
Its the end of season championship so you would have had to fish other events and qualify (top 35 inpoints per state). The co-angler race was very tight this year, The person in 1st going in to the last tourny zeroed and got knocked down past 35th . It was a very tight race for the co’s this year, congrats to all that made it
Thanks! Looks like I’ll be just a “helper” for some of the guys fishing then.
Good luck to all the guys from IDA fishing this event.
Hey stick boy did you find your phone? It was nice talking with ya at the weigh in.Jim is sure a sly dog when it comes to getting information. He can talk with the best of them.We ended up going fishing on pool 3 and caught some walleye’s and a bunch of smallies.I caught a smallie that was close to 4lbs.Jim had a big fish on that was probably a cat or sturgeon then he handed me the rod after I told him that I would loose it and then I did loose it.Go figure huh!
No phone as of yet . I new you brought jim along for some reason. Lets hope you keep your loosing fish to pool 3 and not bring your luck down there.
I think Jim is going to make the cut to fish the championship due to no-show’s.I believe their are three so far that have said they have other plans going on.The mailings with the questionairs should be out shortly. So we are just planning that he will get to fish.
Was wondering when FLW was going to mail the info out. Is anyone going to be fishing down there next week. I am looking at heading down for monday and tuesday. Looking forward to checking out some new water.
Mike you could twist my arm a little and I would go . Just let me no I’m already packing.
Saw you this morning in downtown anoka. Would of stopped to say hi if there was time. Shoot me a PM or a call and lets make plans. Im still trying to figure out where to stay down there. Was thinking about bringing a tent.
Just got my packet in the mail today. Eight fish limit weigh best 5 no cull. So at least you have three fish you can improve on. Prarie Island campground is nice you just have to be carefull in this low water going through the cut to the main channel there is an old wingdam in there and it has taken off many skags.
Thanks for the tip Tim, we have been trying to decide on a campground for that week end, I will defiantly check out Prairie Island, maybe we can have an IDA get together there!
I have a question about the packet. It had a questionnaire on the second page. It looked like they wanted to know if we were going to bring guests to the buffet and if we qualified for the contingency award. I didn’t see any instructions on how to return that to them. Did I miss something?
Sully
Jason,
you did not miss anything you can do one of two things you can either send the questionnaire to the address on the top left of the first page or you can fax it to them at the fax number in the same location on the first page.
PS. I saw your post on the WS message board, give me a call when you get a chance.
I call my info in to FLW about the number of people at the dinner I was bringing
I got the call today. I’m in. I finished 38 but some guys most not be going. See ya there.

Great news!!
Best of luck to you.

Congrats Jim!!!
where are you going to stay? I made my reservations at Parrie island campground.
Well, I am sure looking forward to seeing alot of IDA anglers in the area, of course I won’t be able to tell anyone where I have the Big ones tide up, but if you need information on wingdams and sumurged objects, Just give me a PM and I will do my best, If you see that Big Lund tyee with the star on the side, it will more then likely be me or my partner. I have maps on board, just stop me and ask.
And Please Remember the NO-wake zone by Winona, if you are in the north channel, you can run the wisconsin side of the buoys next to the main channel, but you have to be out of the main channel, watch out for the three wingies, you can save your self some time if you check it out before the tourney. I believe you should have gotten a Map of the no-wake zone if not I can email it to someone to post on this site. Be safe on the Water and Good luck to Everyone.

Minigrub,
Where abouts will you be on the river this Saturday? I sure could use one of them maps and all the helpfull hints to keep my boat from getting banged up.
The way the price of gas is going I might as well pull the 200 off and just run the T-8 kicker.
thanks,
John G.
