There are allot of IDA Members that fish the FLW Walleye League that I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet so I thought it would be a good idea for the next tournament at Cass for us to get together for dinner after the rules meeting. So what do you guys think can anyone recommend a good place to eat?

Sounds like a great idea. I am either staying at the Palace Casino with Stickboy and the Walleye-brat or at Stickboy’s uncle’s place on the west side of Leech.
I would guess the Casino will have a buffet or restaurant of some sort. The registration and meeting are there so we will all need to be there.

The buffet at Cass isn’t really much to brag about. I was pretty darn hungry when I left. The casino/motel are really small, but felt safe when I stayed there two years ago.

It was the GNWC event two summers ago. The casino may have changed completely since I was there. The rooms were nice and I didn’t have to worry about my boat anymore than I typically do when traveling.

If you are referring to the tournament this year it is the FLW Walleye league event. Last year these same tournaments were called the RCL walleye league.

That is good to hear Kooty…I was a little skeptical but that doesn’t sound too bad. You should get a room and take a couple days off and come up and prefish with me.

Here is a reply from Toby K in the FLW Cass and Bemidji Events post. So what do you guys think which place would you like better? I am leaning twoard the PUG HOLE BAR and Grill as it would be closer and it would offer more of a varity if some one whats something other than pizza.

I would suggest making the trip into Bemidji. As you head into town you will pass by KIETH’S Pizza. The owner (Bill Anderson) is fishing the events on the amature side. He would love to see all the faces in there. I’m sure he would throw a deal your way. You can get in touch with him at 218-766-1230 and the pizza resturant number is 751-7940. The would probably even deliver the pizza to cass lake if you have a big enough order. If you would like to stay in the Cass area, there’s a nice little resturant / bar called PUG HOLE BAR and Grill on the North end of the lake. You can get there by boat or vehicle. They have great food there as well. Stony Point Resort has a resturant as well. Cass Lake the Town doesn’t have a whole lot to offer, dinner wise. The Casino does have a dining, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Give me a call if you need any other info.

I like the idea. We’ll have to chat about it on Sunday at the Walleye Searchers tournament.

See all you guys on Friday at the rules meeting then at the Bug Hole Bar after the Meeting. I got another good tip for a good place for breakfast from my Cousin who lives in Baxter.

If you have time for breakfast, stop at the 371 Cafe for a pancake. It’s as big as the plate.

I will be camping at Norway Beach Camp Ground with my Family if by chance anyone is staying near there I could use a ride to the Tournament on Sat as I do not want to leave my Wife and Daughter without a vehicle all day.

Steve are you staying in the Norway Beach Federal Campground? If so, I can give you a ride.
