Just got back from Dubuque and although the bite was tough it sure was a great time.Cabelas really puts on a great tournament. The wife and I weighed 1 fish on Friday and 2 on Saturday to put us in 40th place.Like a lot of others one more fish would have been real nice.

Nice 7th place finish to Gander Mountain Pro Staffers Rick Bryson and Jay Motzko. Must of been a trolling bite

Thanks Jarrad – you must be physic to guess that Jay & I were trolling (I like to call it Jim Bleu 101). It was also nice spending time with Paul & Seth as we waited for the All American awards presentations. Congratulations to both of you as well (see you at the GOM in July). This is the 3rd NTC we’ve been to and they are very well run considering a 250 boat field.. The WAT (our qualifing circut) was very well represented in the top 25 including the #1 spot going to Mike and Murry I guess we will have to keep on chasing these two ole river rats..

I’ll try to post a cool NTC day 1 picture (1 of only 6 limits for the whole tourney)

Congrats, Rick and your parner Jay. Wish you were heading to Prairie for the final WAT or are you fishing that one? You didn’t fish the La Crosse one I see, I think you were after those green carp or something. Pat and I finished 4th in that one.

Anyway, congrats again and hope to catch you on the water. Oh, there is always that open invite to fish the La Crosse area if you in need of some spots to catch those grass carp down here for that other fishing tournament you and Jay fish.

    Have a good one.

Hi Tom – sorry we missed the LaX WAT but most important I had a daughter’s graduation / party that weekend.. I heard you, Pat and Terry + partner did very well – good job! You just might see us at PDC WAT this fall – never know . Jay and I will be back chasing bass this weekend and will miss Tuna’s again so good luck in that one.. I still would like to take you up on a grass crap outing on pool 8 this summer – sounds like it could be a good time..

    Later .. Rick
