I have not checked around yet but I would be intrested. I am also going to check into campgrounds as I may take my camper and would have room for a couple more guys. I will start looking into places and rates tomorrow when I get home from work.

When I fish Cass and the lakes in that area, I stay at this resort.

    http://www.lostacresresort.com/

It’s on Kitchi Lake, that connects to Cass so you can boat in and out of Cass if you wanted to. Nothing fancy, but cheap if you split a cabin between a few guys.

Hi Lenny. I am thinking of doing Bemidji as a co-angler, as the Bay City tournament was a fun. Keep me posted…I have not signed up yet, and will not unless I sign with a pro. I think I can probably find a pro who has signed without a co and register with him…..this worked for me when I signed up for the previous tournament.

I would definitely be interested in splitting the costs of a cabin or something. I am staying at our cabin the first weekend in June and heading to Cass to play around at least a little but I am thinking it is probably an hour + from our cabin by Longville.

Spent a little time looking on line this morning at places to stay. Looks like there are still hotel rooms available in the area for between $70 to $80 per night for 2 people. Also spent some time looking at the local resorts. There cabins seem to run roughly $45 and up per person per night.

At this time I am hopeing to head up wensday or thursday with the plan being to fish both thursday and friday.

What else have you guys found? I am planning on working on this more this week and hopeing to book something by the weekend. Shoot me a reply if you are still looking to share a place to stay or have any more ideas on resorts to look at.

Norway Beach is a very nice Government run campground located on the SE part of the lake. If your thinking about camping it’s definately worth checking out. Great swimming beach to.

I talked to the Palace Casino today.
$64.95 for 2 adults Fri and Sat nights $5 for each additional adult.
Slightly cheaper on the week nights Sun – Thurs and they do have rooms available.

    Steve,
I would say it’s probably 10 miles or so by car, from break on the lake. Norway is on opposite side of the lake, Probably 5-6 miles by water. 3-5 miles from town.
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, schools out, to busy fishing!!!

I would suggest making the trip into Bemidji. As you head into town you will pass by KIETH’S Pizza. The owner (Bill Anderson) is fishing the events on the amature side. He would love to see all the faces in there. I’m sure he would throw a deal your way. You can get in touch with him at 218-766-1230 and the pizza resturant number is 751-7940. The would probably even deliver the pizza to cass lake if you have a big enough order. If you would like to stay in the Cass area, there’s a nice little resturant / bar called PUG HOLE BAR and Grill on the North end of the lake. You can get there by boat or vehicle. They have great food there as well. Stony Point Resort has a resturant as well. Cass Lake the Town doesn’t have a whole lot to offer, dinner wise. The Casino does have a dining, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Give me a call if you need any other info.

Oops, I just put this in the wrong forum (Rookie) but in case you missed it, I was at Tabers bait shop today (Bemidji)checking on the red tail situation for the FLW events coming up and Ron told me that he has 50 gallons of red tails for the up coming events. If interested give Ron a call and he’ll have them bagged and ready for you when you get there. 218-751-5781.
