7th Annual Pooh Bear Open-Red Wing

Most of you know what the Pooh Bear is..but here is the details

Saturday June 4th 7:30-3:30

launch is from Bay Point Park in Red Wing.

$30 per person

includes dinner and a HUGE raffle and many door prizes.

cash and trophies go to top anglers

raffle pays $1,000.00 1st place, weekend at Grand Ely Lodge including boat rental (2nd), and your choice of Red Wing boots for 3rd.

if you have fished it in the past, your flier and registration form will be showing up soon..also if anyone would like to volunteer help at the weigh-in..we are looking for some volunteers this year..let me know..Thanks, Scott

FYI..I have received a few e-mails asking if the payouts are the 3 pizes listed..No, the $1,000k,the trip, and RW boots are part of our big raffle–anyone can buy into that..we also pay out to the fisherman seperately..usually around $1,000.00 to the 1st place team..and pay down to like 7th place..paying out a total of 15-1600…since it is a fundraiser we like to wait and see before promising exact numbers..but it has always been in that ballpark..there are many other smaller raffles also..but YES, the payouts to the teams of fisherman are completely seperate..and also include very nice, very large trophies also. Thank You for all the interest and support!!

Have you received it yet? we got together last monday..Jean said she sent them out..let me know if you did not get one, I’ll get you one, otherwise they are at 4-Seasons, and some were supposed to get dropped at Everetts too..looking forward to it..should be another great tournament!!

Yep…….. Surprizingly though,the handwritting looked like mine! I pitty the fool who…….Wait, we made out those envelopes last year did’nt we!Never Mind!!!!

Thanks to all who have pre-registered!!, also anyone holding a small tournament in the RW area, feel free to e-mail me..the Pooh Bear most likely would be willing to donate a free PBO entry as a prize for your tournament..anyone who has hosted a tournament knows it’s nice to have prizes offered..SO, let me know! Sorry everyone, I did not bring a sheet back with me that has the winners listed..I hope to get it tomorrow..then listing the top 7 places..but I do remember the top weight and the big fish

there were several nice big fish..in fact the big fish had a close second at 9.40 pounds!!

the weather kept our numbers a little lower than normal..we had 67 boats..still a great turn out..I’ll also get the exact numbers that we raised for our donations..again, thanks to everyone!!!! Scott
