I have fished this since its inception, I am happy to see that they switched the opening dates away from Minnesota’s opener, The last two years it has been on Minnesotas opening weekend and the draw was nil. Mark Dorn doea a great job. Plus they have picked some great water to fish this year. I wish everybody good luck and tight lines.

I fished all of them last year for the first time and I plan on fishing all four again this year, looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones.

I’ve fished all of them the last 2 years, but don’t think I will this year.

Why would they schedule that event on Memorial weekend, on Mille Lacs? Bumper boat city that weekend!!

My guess is to see bigger weights and that was the only weekend open without having to go into late June or July. The late June dates and Mac’s location was fine with me. We had a good boater turn out last year and a waiting list of co-anglers. This years date could hamper boater sign up. ?

I am doing Mille Lacs, Cass and Bemidji…my sister went and planned her wedding on 5/7 so I am going to miss Red Wing.
I have fished both sides of the league events(co 2 years ago, boater last year) and the co-angler side of several tour events. They are run very well and the FLW staff is top notch.

    Mike-

I was hoping to see you stay involved.

Where are you going to focus your tournament attention?

I was planning on fishing tournaments with larger entries, thus some larger payouts. The expenses in prefishing are still the same so I thought it was a smarter way to look at it financially (as if fishing is a money making venture ). I’ll fish some MTT, Lowrance Pro Team, as well as all the bass events on Tonka.
