    2005 IDA Walleye Tour.

March 12th (Bad weather day set for March 13)
    April 9th
    April 10th
    June 11th
    Oct 8th
    Oct 9th

All events will be on the Mississippi River pools 3, 4 and 5. Launch locations and Boundaries will be announced soon. All dates are single day events. Fish one or fish them all!

Rule and Format Changes for 2005

    1. Team of the Year will be determined by most points accumulated from the best 4 of 6 qualifying events.

    2. Teams must declare a captain. “Team Points” stay with the captain through out the season and cannot be transferred. Team captains may have a substitute partner for one of the qualifying events and retain points. (Can only have a sub for one of the four events where points are used in the team of year totals.)

    3. A $10 late fee will be accessed for teams entering the day of the tournament.

    4. Entry Fees will increase from $100 to $120 with the additional $20 being a 100% year-end payback split into these categories:

    >>> Team of the Year 30%
    >>> Big Fish of the Year 20%
    >>> Big Basket of the Year 20 %
    >>> Adult/Minor Team of the Year. 15%
    >>> Husband/Wife Team of the Year. 15%

Look for the updated rules document, entry form and web page soon. Any questions, comments or concerns can be directed to myself or James Holst.

Thank you and hope to see you on the tour!

    Hey John
    the dates look great
and I really like the new format the more tourneys the better. now the only problem I have is the team of the year award is reachable and so is the big fish and basket awards but we have a dilema for the husband and wife and adult minor awards. now being that I fish these with my partner todd. who is twice my age anyways. how about we make a deal.
If I wear a dress to every tournament. to show that todd and I are husband wife and Todd wears a Giant Diaper and dies his Grey hair hot pink to show that he is the also the wifes minor partner would we qualify for those awards
come on the things we would do to win an award.
you got to admit it would be damn funny
    so what do you think.

Its like this Herb: I always say my kids get their ”good” habits from me and their ”bad” habits from their mother.
    Thanks, Bill

I gotta work all but one of the dates too! Vacation time might be able to fix that problem, however.

That was a good question Chappy I was going to ask, but I thought they were make up dates, and that he just missed one. That will be great! I can’t believe that I’ll be able to make all but one. Heck I’ll be supporting putting someone’s kids though school.

I’m still relatively new to this site, so please bear with me. Do you ever have any of these tourneys somewhere beside on the river? Like Mille Lacs. Seems there are alot of people here that are very familiar with that body of water as well.

    Jack,

No. All of the tourneys are on the river. This is our second year and we are hoping to build on the successes we had last year.

But don’t count out a showing up there in the future!

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the reply Jon.

Its very hard for me to get away from the “pond” in the summer because of my guiding, but would love the chance to host all of you guys up there if the chance presents itself.

Who knows, maybe I could even fish it!!

    Jon,

Do you know yet how many of these tournaments will have boundaries on Pool 3?

    Drake,

The entry forms just went on-line today. Go ahead and get your entry in! We had 40 boats for the March event last year. I expect more this year.
