Well I am back from Devils Lake with a 10th place finish.
Thanks to everyone that was pulling for me to do well.

I want to send a special thanks out to Nick Johnson….you are a great pro and really fun to be in the boat with I am glad I stayed in first and got to fish with you days 1 & 3.
I also want to thank Rob Lampman for helping to keep me in 1st place after day 2.
Nick and I made the top 10 cut thanks to Lund Pro Mark Courts.
Nick’s main motor went down and Mark gave me a ride in with our fish. He made sure we had livewell space and plenty of fresh water to keep our fish alive to avoid the penalty that would have knocked us out of the top 10.
    THANK YOU Mark!!!!!

I had a great time and hope to get the chance to fish with those guys again in future.

    Congrats Buckshot.

    I’m not worthy.

There were a lot of zeros both days. Very typical of DL.

It’s a feast or famine lake isn’t it.

PM your spots. I’m closer to a zero

    Congratulations Buckshot,
Nice to meet a fellow In-Depth angler and see you do so well also.
Must have been a thrill to be fishing all 4 days of the tournament!
Hope some day I can take a walk down that road.

    Jerry and Buckshot!

I not sure if many remember that Jerry Hein helped with our BB&BS GTG last summer!

    Chappy,
We launched from Highbanks. Fished the north end by Pigeon and Farleys and then bobbed around for a short time on Tamarac point. We only had a half day so we didn’t fish some of the spots I wanted to. Sort of a tough day for us. 6 walleye (4 over the slot) and 1 pike.

Should have been down in Plughat Mike. My dad was there with 2 other guys and they had their 18 by 12:30 with a few throw backs that were over.

Yup. Like I said, too many spots and not enough time.
Oh well. Maybe next time my guide won’t be screwing around at some little walleye tournament!
