Twenty six savy spring MMWS pro walleye teams tackled the icy waters of Pool #4 in search of spring walleye gold. The rain tried it’s best, but didn’t dampen anyones spirits.
Team Tom Beck (Genoa, Wi) and Tom Brye (Westby, Wi) came out victorious with 11.86#’s of Pool 4 walleyes netting them $980.00 for their win.
The duo dragged river sand dune flats with jigs with plastics below the Pool 4 dam and a small spot they found during prefishing near the city of Red Wing. “It was a tough bite, but I guess we caught the ones that really counted”, quoted Tom Brye. The team prefished and stayed for the past week in Red Wing allowing them to eliminate unproductive water.
Second place and BIG walleye honors went to Jeremy Schreiner and Jason Bealeiu. Their nice 5.93# female (worth $810) along with a full four-fish limit weighing 11.81#s ($510) netted them a cool $1320.00 in earnings!
Third place honors went to team Scott Moger / Mike Hartert with 11.27#’s and $290.
Fourth place team Patrick Lubeley / Cody Lubeley had 7.69#’s which earned them $160.
