As most are aware, the Frontenac Sportsman’s Club gave up our August Tournament Permit so we could focus on a new tournament in memory of Ralph Diercks, former owner of 4 Seasons in Red Wing and a man known to all who was a founding father of Pool 4 Fishing. Ralph loved the river and always was willing to help all out with tips, tackle and just a guy with a wealth of fishing knowledge. In his honor, a group of fellow fishermen is in the process of gathering funds to build……finally……a fish cleaning station at Coville Park. Building will start this spring. This tournament will help finance the cleaning station and also maintain from year to year. Get in this tournament. Support the updates that a lot of you are going to use at Coville. Join us in memory of Ralph!

    It’s 80% payback based on 100 teams. (100 x 100 x.8 = 8000 payout.) So $2000 going to a great cause!

To the Top. As FYI, I have a typo on the first page pf the entry. It says limit is (5)-seven fish. You can have up to (7) fish in your livewell and then you weigh your best 5. Sorry about confusion! I have too many tournaments I am trying to keep up on

Last time I talked to the tournament director, we were over 20. I am anticipating 45 – 50 boats……….especially if the bite picks up

We still have openings and will the night of the orientation meeting. We have a feeling a LOT of people will be signing up that night. We have 30 right now – so we are expecting 50-60.

Overall I would say it was a tough bite. Team Holden won with I believe 21 lbs. 2nd was 18 down to 15 lbs for 6th. After than there were a few five fish limits with most teams catching 2 – 3 fish. Definitely out of the norm for this time of year. Big fish was 8.85lbs. Not many big fish weighed in. 61 teams participated and we raised right around $1,200 for maintenance of the new Coville Fish Cleaning Station being built in memory of Ralph Diercks.
