What is your guess to make the top ten and fish on the final day? My guess is 18 lbs per day. I know the bite is off but someone always finds the fish.

I think a 16-20lbs will get one in the top ten. I think you see guys have a great day and then not so good the next as the fish dont seem to be holding in areas long.
Gonna be busy with the FLW, MTT and recreational fisherman.
April 18, 2012 at 2:27 pm #1060087With all the pre fishing going on…and the person with the largest pit crew (money) looking for a bite, I’ll go out to 18-21 pounds per day for the top 10.
Lots of talent out there this weekend…and I have my autograph book ready.
April 18, 2012 at 2:39 pm #1060089>> Is it a race to fish the same spot like it has been in the past?
Nah, the normal highwater spots arent gonna be a factor this year. Fish are spread out, so are the boats. Fish are here today gone tomorrow. He who covers the most (productive) water in 8 hrs a day will win. I think a week of pre-fishing has alot of guys pulling their hair out.
Going to need 35lbs after 2 days to make the cut
April 18, 2012 at 2:43 pm #1060091I saw a lot of frustrated anglers on Pool 4 this past weekend – including some of the Pros. It was tough out there and will continue to be but the water rising might change a few things.

Couldn’t agree more with that statement Matt.
April 18, 2012 at 2:52 pm #106009920 lbs a day min. will get you in the top 20. If you can put all the pieces of the puzzle together you will find there is a really good bite going……at least there was the last few weekends I really regret not fishing the Full Throttle Tourney
April 18, 2012 at 3:02 pm #1060101That’s good to hear. I like it when you have to be able to fish not just have the fastest boat.
April 18, 2012 at 4:40 pm #1060138Did you catch them on Saturday Jesse? Friday we could have easily had 20+, Sunday could have had 30+. But Saturday eeeassshhh. I havent talked to anybody that has had 2-3 consistant days
April 18, 2012 at 4:48 pm #1060143im sure fridays thunderstorms had something to do with the bite on saturday.

a five fish limit at 25 pounds…. three days in a row deserves to win!!!! that will not happen unless they can cull
April 19, 2012 at 4:07 pm #1060480Looks like Randy cleaned up the boat for the big day! Go get’em Randy!

Guess we will have to wait and see. They are fishing the Mississippi.
April 19, 2012 at 10:33 pm #1060750I tried to post from my phone last night but it didn’t work I guess. I thought 35 lbs would get in top 10……..

If this doesn’t say anything about the consistency of the bite nothing will. River Rat Randy scored a zero on day two of the event. I guess that’s why they call it fishing and not catching.
