Thanks guys. We spent the first hour of the day pitching for a hog and about 8 casts into it Adam tied into a post-spawn walleye weighing 8.15 We stuck to pitching for 45 more minutes and then switched over to handlining. Adam had several really good spots he found pre fishing that were putting out 20-24 inch males. It took us until 12:30 to catch 4 more fish over 20 inches. We were working high current areas with deep water.
On Sunday we didn’t make the needed adjustements to catch the big fish handlining. They were biting very short and we lost well over 20 fish after they were hooked up. I want to say congrats to Rodney York & Bill Shimota, they made the needed adjustments to get those short biters and pulled a big weight in a short time on Sunday.
Also, I have to give all the credit to my partner Adam. He did all the prefishing for this tournament and it paid off. Great job Adam
