    Mark Rehberg Memorial “Saugerama”

    October 15, 2011
    Island Campground/Habor Bar
    Mississippi River Pool 4
    7:30am to 3:00pm

This tournament/ outing is being held in remembrance of Mark Rehberg who was
killed in a deer hunting accident during the 2006 gun deer season. The
river was a very special place to Mark, as he would spend as many days
as possible fishing there. Mark was also a very avid hunter. He would
spend as much time in the woods as possible, whether it was deer
hunting, grouse hunting, or pheasant hunting. He was also a great
friend to many, many people, and a great father and family person.
This tournament was started so that people could gather for a day and
spend it fishing, laughing, meeting new people, and to share the many
    stories that are out there.

Entry Fee for two person team will be $50. There will be two optional
big fish pots. One for walleye and one for sauger. $5 for each entry.
Payback will be 80% to top 15% or top 3 places, depending on number of
teams. 100% payback on each big fish pot. Weigh-in limit will be 8
SAUGERS with possession limit of 12. Walleyes do NOT count for your
total weight. 15” minimum for both saugers and walleyes. There will be
drawings for teams placing out of the money for a custom made rod by
R&R Rods, and many other prizes will also be available through a drawing
after the tournament, including some gift certificates and other prizes so
    stick around.

On-line pre registration is encouraged on http://www.idofishing.com
and will qualify to win a new custom made rod for doing so! You must
pre-register on-line and fish the tournament to qualify. Cash only and it can
be paid the day of the tourney.

Boat number will be determined by the order you sign up on the
website. Online registration will open at 6pm on Monday October 3rd.
Top 5 boats from the previous years finish will make up the first 5
    boats this year.

This tournament also qualifies as a Skeeter Real- Money Tourney for up
to $2000 bonus from Skeeter and the Skeeter Boat Center! Additional
details on the Real-Money program can be viewed at
    http://www.skeeterboatcenter.com/ .

This event will take place at Island Campground, (www.islandcampingandmarina.com)
The entrance to the campground is located next to the harbor bar. There is
a boat landing there for those who wish to use it and plenty of parking and dock
space. For those wanting to launch elsewhere, there is the option of
Bay Point park in down town Red Wing or Coville, just south of Red
Wing. If launching elsewhere please come early and check in and let us
    know you came by boat.

This is an informal and laid back event. There will be food and drinks
after the weigh-in, courtesy of the Bluffs Bar and Grill.
The Bluffs Bar and Grill will be the location for the results, awards, raffles and lunch, so be sure to stop there after the tourny.
So, grab your fishing partner and come join us for this great event. We look forward to seeing everyone again for Saugerama!!!!

I see we have a new starting point this year but I am sure the same great group of guys will be running the show This is one of the most fun tournaments of the year without a doubt. One quick question Eric—-I lucked into the top 5 last year so do I need to pre-register on the 3rd to qualify for the give away or is my name already in the hat???????

The top 5 teams will have their spot saved for take off. The only thing I ask is that those top 5 teams still sign up on the sign up post just so I know who is going to make it and who is not. And yes you will have to put your name on that post for the drawing. We will be picking a name off of that list.

Just want to clarify the rules. Sauger must be 15 inches this year—is that correct???? I know in past years it has been 14 inches so want to make sure we are all on the same page. That extra inch may make it interesting this year

You are correct, all saugers MUST be 15″ It was actually changed last year I believe.
The cool weather this week should only help get the bite going a little better by the weekend!!
