With no regard for are personnel well being we fished through a series of thunderstorms this morning on pool 14. It was all worth it we landed 10 fish this morning with 8 of them being upper end slot fish. Yes, the big girls get excited by lightning. They were popping stickbaits and plastic. We were running Dubuque rigs with heavy jigs and K-grubs and stickbaits on the back. They were crushing the baits I had a 7 lber with a stick wedged in her mouth sideways , that I thought I would never get it out. The river was noticeably dirtier today and the water is starting to come up. There was a lot of floating debris this morning also. I’m sure this was are last day in this area with the water coming up fast it will blow them out of there in a few days. I have only on picture , because it was the only break in the weather we had to take one. The pic is of Dad with his best fish of the morning.

That’s a beautiful fish. I was out on 14 yesterday for most of the day and only caught two ring perch. But I’m a bass guy and don’t really know what I’m doing trying to catch walleyes. But I usually go once or twice a year in the spring. I didn’t see any caught out there yesterday. I should have waited for the rain I guess.
