    Jake:

I talked with J Fluekiger last week, he told me that Belvidere was open and that there was ice about 25 yards offshore at the landing behind the feed mill. Right now I would guess that the landing is closer to being open and Belvidere is still open. Sorry I can’t more help than that… I did see that Winona was open, always enjoyed that dam too!!!

As of this morning the Alma ramp is not open, but Belvidere is accessible…sounds like a few fish are cooperating for the guys down there as well.

Thanks guys. I’ve never been a huge fan of pool 6….just doesn’t seem to hold the numbers or quality of fish in general.

Belvidere it is! Cheers to spring!

Pike were bitting. Saugers fired up late. Not hot, heavy, or huge….but overall a great February day on the river!

The Belvidere landing is in Buffalo City, WI. The launch is on Hwy. 00 and is about 6 miles below the dam by river. I believe the landing is near river mile marker 747 and the Alma lock and dam is just below river mile marker 753.

The Alma landing is open thanks to the fishing float and Schreiners sport shop.
