bait shop in Alma is under new owner ship open daily from 6:30 and as the channel opens it will be open at 5:00 am daily. Ice fishings slow but gill pills seem to be the ticket. Nice selection of ringworms, paddle tails, curl tails, soft plastic keeper jig heads, along with hair jigs and blades come in the up coming weeks. Stop in and see us at Schreiners

Good luck on the new venture. Keep us up to date on the fishing conditions as time allows.

where is the bait shop located.. in the past.. there was Arnies in Down town.. a small bait shop on the south side of town.. a bait shop inthe gas station on the far south side of town.. and then the last building on the east side of the road as you left town was a bait shop…
and that was going for a number of years.. in fact they gave me my inital bait tanks for my own store.. back in the 80’s..

so where is your bait shop located?

I was the college kid that stopped down on Saturday and bought a dozen shiners. Probably don’t remember me, but I realy appreciated your service. I’ll definitely be stopping here every time I head down to fish the backwaters. By the way, the bite on Spring Lake was really good. We were on the north end up really shallow-only three feet of water. Ended up with 39 gills between the two of us. Gill pills were the ticket! No pike, but we treid! Once again, thanks for the great service and tip-I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

we will be in touch with fishing reports and yes it does seem like most locals are tight liped around their working on changing that and no more wild goose chases
