Spent Sunday on pool 4 with pool 2 reporter DeeZee, we experienced a fair bite. Not fast and furious but we did get some decent walleye and a couple of “mongo” sauger in the boat. I will have a detailed report up this evening.

Saw quite a few boats out today with the mild temps. How was everyone else’s weekend on pool 4?

Thanks Dustin for putting up with me for most of the day! All kidding aside, I had a great time.
Dustin put us on fish all day long! His work and my laziness were a great tteam effort!! Its fun being the guest for once!

As Dustin mentioned, we boated some very respectable sauger yesterday! Dustin was willing to adjust to the conditions and it proved out to be a productive day! Considering the conditions we were faced, I would say we had a pretty decent day. Beautiful day to be on the water.
    Thanks again buddy!

Saturday was a slow day for us. We worked shallow, to 25 ft. We tried about every color of ring and doo we had in the boat. By 11:30 we decided to drift down stream and enjoy a cold one. What a day it was, completely peaceful. Fishing was tough, but the beverages, BS and the weather more than made up for it. Can’t wait to get back down there.

To say friday was slow for me would be optimistic! The very first time I got my line in the water I landed a 16″ walleye dragging a ringworm in 15′. I thought “uh oh”, I’ve had that happen before during a tough bite. Only got one other 14″ walleye the whole rest of the day!

I spent the majority of the day relatively shallow and also worked down to that 25′ but only found dink saugers at those depths. Wasn’t sure but thought I saw James out later in the day?
Looking forward to your report Dustin and seeing what worked for you.

    Hey Crankbait

Nope, wasn’t me. Might have been Dean Marshall. He runs a black c-liner. I haven’t been on the water since Tuesday when I did the shoot with Midwest Outdoors. The vast majority of the people I talked with during the past week reported a slow to horrible bite. Some guys did catch fish as is always the case but the majority of the people were struggling.

Waterfowler and I only managed 4 fish….but I wouldn’t say we were struggling… the only struggle was that we had to leave kinda early. It was one of those days where the fish not cooperating didn’t have the slightest impact….it was an awesome day to be on the water.

Not sure. Mid April most likely. The crew that filmed the episode likely hasn’t even begun the editing process. When I hear from them you can bet I’ll post that info here!

    Thanks for asking.
