I just returned from our annual pool #4 fishing trip and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. Lots of memories and friends were made. Above is a picture of Marshall with his first Paddle fish. I can’t believe he landed it in about 10 minutes on 8 pound fireline. So if you seen a boat down stream going in circles trying to see smoked colored fireline, it was us.

Everyone up there fishing was great as we were doing the synchronized boat ballet. Also I’d like to thank the gentlemen in the bass boat behind me, and all the guys that tried to snag my line after my St. Croix avid decided to go for a swim. I got it back before the sand and grit got to work its magic.

The fish are biting, Dean’s got the latest information, so you better get out berfore the hard water is here.

Sounds and looks like you had a great time!

From this angle, that paddle looks like 40 to 50 pounds…that is a feat at half that weight!

The angle on the camera is bad…that dinosaur would have gone at least 60 lbs! I still can’t stop smiling…what an experience. I’ve been fishing on the Mississippi my entire life; that’s a memory for the ages. thanks friend.
