Marty put on a clinic with the ringworms this morning. I got the big skunk Action was early and windy conditions made it a bit rugged out there. But there are fish to be caught!
It really is Marty walleye appreciation month Dean because he caught another 6-8 fish we didn’t take pics of. I had one on for about 5 seconds that felt big and missed a couple of hits; but I couldn’t find my groove this morning…. Next time.
Marty and I got out again this morning and I managed to pop 2 decent ones right off the bat. Marty struggled at first but popped another 4 as the morning wore on. This is the last fish we caught before hanging it up. Seems to be a low light bite with afew here and there during the day.
It was good shaking the cobwebs loose after a month of home improvement and a weekend of pheasant hunting mixed in. Joel thanks for being the captain on Saturday. Glad to reciprocate today.
Very nice guys. It was tough sitting in the deer stand this weekend and not being on the water. One deer down and one to go. Then its back in the boat.
Was out yesterday until 11 or so and the bite was tougher for us. We went south and probably should’ve stayed higher in the pool. I was surprised to see the water temp at 38. Jason W (wheels2) saved the day when he stuck a 26-27 on a crank. JasonP got his handed to him.
Thanks for letting me tag along Jason, had fun seeing some new places on the river with you. Here is a pic of that chunky one that made it to the boat.
Nice fish guys I made it out saturday and sunday as well. The morning bite was good fishing p tals and k grubs. It took a little more effort to get em later in the day though.
