made a quick run after work to test some hair jigs i just learned how to tie and wasnt disappointed. feels good to catch,em on something you made yourself. any ways the water wasnt what i expected still high with lots of flow and dirty as can be, but i guess it really didnt matter cause the walleyes chew’ed pretty well.

ps i have no clue what button i pushed to get the censored up there. lol!!

Very nice! Catching fish on home-made tackle is very redeeming. Congrats to you!!

    Potty mouth… lol

I’m sure it was one of the more mild words on the censored list like… brace for it… “dam.” Having that one in there is ridiculous. I’ll remove it right after this post.

As for your pics and report… very nice. Thanks for posting.

U tied Lightning McClean, too sweet.
JK, simple yet very effective, nice job. If you had a tough time with the hair, holding and getting it even try a hair stacker tube. Just a couple bucks from fly shops. Otherwise look it up on line and I’m sure you can make one, its just a tube. much faster and easier to manage.
    Nice job, -Mark

Those are great hair jigs. Not the purtyest I have ever seen but the proof is in what you catch with them. The 1st ones I ever tied where a lot rougher than that but still got the job done.

thanks guys … and thanks for the tips on the tying. my buddy “tom” gave me a quick 2 or 3 minute course after we spent the day on the river last weekend. so yes kinda rough around the edges.

Nice fish Lou. Just remember…nothing’s perfect in nature and those fish prove that even rough edges can look like food. Great pics…thanks for sharing.

Nice walleyes Louis! That spot looks familiar Not that I’ll have a chance to make it down there! It is pretty cool when you catch a fish on an artificial you made yourself, very rewarding!
